“Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel 17:36 KJV.
What you attempt is ultimately a reflection of your faith and your mindset. David faced Goliath not with armor or sword, but with confidence in the living God who had delivered him from the lion and the bear. He dared to confront the giant because he knew who stood with him. When you believe that the Almighty dwells within you, fear loses its grip and boldness takes its place. As 1 John 4:4 declares, “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” With this confidence, you can face any challenge knowing that, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). Don’t shrink back—dare to build, dare to lead, dare to speak, dare to rise.
Throughout Scripture, we see ordinary people doing extraordinary things because they dared to believe. Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on water at the word of Jesus (Matthew 14:28–29). Esther risked her life to save her people, declaring, “If I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16). Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, and it did (Joshua 10:12–13). These acts were not born of mere courage, but of divine confidence. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” You, too, can attempt the impossible by faith in the One who empowers you. Dare something big, because the God in you is bigger than the giants before you.
Prophetic word: The Spirit of the Lord says, “This is your season to dare and rise! The limitations of yesterday are broken. I am calling you out of the boat, out of comfort, into the realm of the impossible. Fear not, for I am with you. As I was with David before Goliath, so I am with you before every giant. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is alive in you. You shall build what others said cannot be built. You shall walk on waters of uncertainty and not sink. You shall declare a thing, and it shall be established. Step out—boldly, confidently—because the heavens are backing you.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the boldness You have placed within me through Your Spirit. Today, I silence every voice of fear, doubt, and small thinking. I declare that I am rising to dare something big—not by might, not by power, but by Your Spirit. Just as You strengthened David to face Goliath, Peter to walk on water, and Esther to stand for her people, empower me now to step into the divine assignments You have prepared for me. I receive grace to think big, believe big, and act big. Let every giant before me fall. Let every gate of limitation be lifted. Let testimonies arise from every bold step I take. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
