You are witnesses of these things!

“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:45-48 KJV

After His resurrection, Jesus opened the understanding of His disciples so they could understand the Scriptures. This divine understanding was for empowerment, to make them witnesses and testifiers of the resurrection power of God. Without understanding the Scriptures, a believer becomes weak, vulnerable, and unstable in faith. The world is full of challenges, but the believer is not meant to live under them, because in Christ, we are seated far above all things. It is through understanding the Word of God that we gain boldness to stand in our position and walk in victory (Joshua 1:8). Otherwise, we may be easily shaken, as though we have never encountered the saving power of God (Matthew 7:24–27).

Perhaps you are passing through difficult situations right now; when you understand the Scriptures, you will know that what you are facing is not meant to destroy you but to give you an opportunity to testify and become a witness of His power.

Prophetic Word: I declare that the Lord shall open your understanding to His Word in a deeper way. You will not be overwhelmed by the challenges around you, because the light of God’s Word will make you strong, stable, and bold. The trials you face shall become testimonies, and the battles around you shall reveal the power of God in your life. You shall stand as a witness of His faithfulness, His deliverance, and His resurrection power. Through your life, many will know that the Lord is mighty to save, heal, restore, and uphold His own in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Lord, open my understanding to Your Word and make me a bold witness of Your power in every situation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
