Speak with authority!

“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6-8 KJV

Every believer has been positioned in a place of spiritual authority because of the finished work of Christ on the cross and the power of His resurrection. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities, powers, might, and dominion (Ephesians 1:20–23). If you are in Him, then you share in that victory and authority. This is why the believer must speak to situations, mountains, afflictions, fear, and powers of darkness with confidence and expect them to obey the Word of God. In Acts 4:13 and Acts 3:6, we see ordinary men speaking with extraordinary authority because they had been with Jesus and understood the power of His name. No matter what the enemy throws at you, you have authority in Christ to stand, speak, and prevail.

Because you are seated with Christ, you must not speak like one under the circumstances when God has placed you above them in Christ. The enemy wants believers to remain silent, intimidated, and uncertain of their position, but you must rise in faith and declare what heaven has already established. Just as Jesus spoke to storms, demons, sickness, and death with authority, you too must speak in agreement with His Word (Mark 11:23). Authority is not in shouting; it is in knowing your position in Christ and enforcing it by faith. When you speak from your seated position in Christ, darkness must give way.

Prophetic Word: I declare that you will arise and speak with the authority of your position in Christ. Every voice of fear, intimidation, and opposition is silenced in your life. You shall no longer speak as one defeated, but as one seated with Christ in victory. Every mountain before you shall hear your voice and move. Every force of darkness resisting your peace, progress, health, and destiny shall bow to the authority of Jesus Christ working in you. You will walk in boldness, speak in faith, and see heaven’s dominion manifested in your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Oh God, open my eyes to understand my position in Christ and the authority You have given me through His death and resurrection. Teach me to speak with boldness, faith, and confidence over every situation that confronts me. Help me to stand in the power of Your Word and enforce the victory of Christ in every area of my life. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
