“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
Under the old
covenant, power was made available to the people who were in covenant with God.
This includes the power to get wealth. Even before the new covenant was
established, Jesus gave the disciples power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19) because of their relationship with
Him and His assignment for them. After the new covenant had been established, Jesus
declared, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” (Matthew 28:18)
and instructed the disciples to access this power through the Holy Spirit (Acts
1:8, Luke 24:49). I believe strongly that the covenant power that includes the power to get wealth, to dominate over the works of darkness, to become a kingdom
witness, and to fulfill destiny is made available through the Holy Spirit.
If the new
covenant grants you unlimited access to divine power through the indwelling
Holy Spirit, there is no justification for living powerless. You are called to
grow into the fullness of God’s power, secured by the blood of Jesus and
guaranteed by the new covenant (Hebrews 9:14-15; Revelation 1:18). Covenant
power is your inheritance; you must receive it, walk in it, and manifest it.
Prophetic
Word: I declare in the name of Jesus that covenant
power is activated in your life. You will walk in divine authority,
supernatural provision, and spiritual dominance. Every limitation to your
progress is broken, and every work of darkness opposing your destiny is
subdued. You will prosper with purpose, fulfill your calling, and manifest the
power of the Kingdom by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your covenant established through the blood of
Jesus. I receive the power You have made available to me through the Holy
Spirit to prosper, to overcome, and to fulfill my destiny. I reject
powerlessness and step into the fullness of Your Spirit and anointing. Let my
life reflect the reality of Your covenant and advance Your purposes on the
earth. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
