The Power of God in you! 2

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure:” Philippians 2:13 KJV

I will continue to combine our text with Ephesians 3:20. These scriptures confirm that the power of God is actively at work in every believer. This divine power becomes most evident when our lives are aligned with what pleases Him. This morning, we examine another dimension of “His good pleasure.” The second “good pleasure” of God I want us to consider is His purpose. When you position yourself at the centre of God’s plan and purpose for your life, you experience the power of God working both in you and through you.

The three Hebrew youths declared in Daniel 3:16–18, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace… But if not… we will not serve thy gods.” They knew that God was able, but they also understood that His power is always released in harmony with His divine purpose. The power of God is released when the purpose of God is being fulfilled (Revelation 4:11). Even Jesus ministered strictly within divine assignment. He went only to those whom God had purposed to visit (Luke 4:25–27). Fortunately, God has a good plan and purpose for each of us (Jeremiah 29:11). Please seek to discover His purpose for your life. Walk in it. There, the power of God will find full expression in your life.

Prophetic Word: I decree that you are aligned with the divine purpose of God. As you walk in His plan, the power of God shall be made manifest in your life, bringing direction, preservation, and fulfillment, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: O Lord my God, reveal Your purpose for my life with clarity. Order my steps into Your perfect will. Empower me to walk boldly in my divine assignment, and let Your power be made evident in everything I do, now and always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Power of God in you! 1

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure:” Philippians 2:13 KJV

I will be combining our text with Ephesians 3:20 to deal with the subject of the power of God in you. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Both texts confirmed that the power of God is at work in every believer. The power can generate both willingness and obedience in us if we align ourselves with His good pleasure. Also, our testimony depends on the extent to which we allow His power to work in us, not really on our asking and thinking, as important as they are. So let us examine “His good pleasure.”

The first “good pleasure” I want us to examine is faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” If you have faith in God (Mark 11:22-24), you are positioning yourself to experience the power of God in you and through you (Matthew 17:19-20, Acts 14:9-10). If you can hear God and act upon His word, the power of God will work in you more than what you are capable of (John 2:5, Luke 5:4-6).

Prophetic Word: I decree that your life is pleasing unto God, and you shall experience the manifestation of His power in every area of your life, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: O Lord my God, draw me closer to You. Create in me a deep hunger for Your presence and power. Plant unshakable faith within me, that I may experience the fullness of Your power in every area of my life this year and beyond, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you are willing…

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah 1:19 KJV

Our text reveals that harvest is a product of willingness joined with obedience. Willingness alone is not enough; obedience is the force that activates the promise. God has already made provision for abundance in the land (Ecclesiastes 5:9), but only those who obey will access it. Jesus illustrated this truth in the parable of the two sons (Matthew 21:28 31): one was willing but not obedient, the other was obedient and did his father’s will. Scripture records that the one who did the father’s will was approved.

When obedience is present, divine power is released. Chains are broken, provision is made available, and doors are opened (2 Corinthians 10:6; Job 36:11,15; 1 Kings 17:13–14; 1 Samuel 15:23; John 2:5; Luke 5:5). Obedience turns divine promises into physical experiences. The good of the land is an inheritance waiting for your obedience. Please seek to know the will of God for your life, receive His instruction, and pursue it without compromise. This is your access key for this season.

Prophetic Word: I decree that you shall be both willing and obedient, and you shall eat the good of the land this year and beyond, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Father, I thank You because the profit of the earth belongs to all. Grant me the grace to walk in joyful obedience so I may fully access my inheritance this year, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God makes men willing!

“Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.” Psalm 110:3 KJV

Our text declares that willingness is a product of God’s power. God has the ability to touch the hearts of men to rise in support of His purpose in your life. He stirred the hearts of valiant men to follow Saul (1 Samuel 10:26). He commanded a widow to sustain Elijah during a famine (1 Kings 17:9). He moved faithful women to minister to Jesus from their substance (Luke 8:2–3). The same God can also restrain men from harming you (Psalm 105:14–15; Genesis 31:29), He can even make your enemy be at peace with you (Proverbs 16:7, Genesis 33:1-4). When His power is at work in your life, fire loses its ability to burn you (Daniel 3:25), and lions lose their appetite for your flesh (Daniel 6:22). Where divine power reigns, natural laws bow, and people are favorably disposed towards you (Exodus 3:21).

In this new year and beyond, you can expect God to use men for you by allowing His power to be at work in you and through you (2 Chronicles 26:15).

Prophetic Word: I decree that you shall be marvellously helped and highly favored this year in Jesus' name.

Prayer: Father, I thank You because this is the day of Your power. Let people favor me and rise to help me this year, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

You must be willing!

“Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.” Psalm 110:3 KJV

I would like to borrow some words from Charles Spurgeon this morning. He wrote concerning our text, “God's people are to be a willing people. We can tell who are the children by the fact that they are willing. I preach to many of you times without number. I tell you of hell; I bid you flee from it; I tell you of Christ; I bid you look to him, but you are unwilling to do so. What do I conclude from that? Either that the day of God's power has not yet come, or that you are not God's people.”

He further wrote, “I think this word applies not only to their being willing to be saved, but willing to work after they are saved. God loves his people's services, because they do them voluntarily. Voluntaryism is the essence of the gospel. Willing people are those whom God delights to have as his servants. He would not have slaves to grace his throne, but free men, who, with gladness and joy, should be willing in the day of his power.

My conclusion is that we are in the day of God’s power. You, as a people of God, must be willing to get saved if you are not already and willing to work for the Lord if you have not yet been doing so.

Prophetic Word: I declare that the power of God is at work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure in Jesus' name.

Prayer: Father, I thank You because this is the day of Your power. I trust you with my life, do whatever you like with my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

The enemy, an advantage!

“The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.” Psalm 110:1-3 KJV

The presence of the enemy is not your disadvantage; it is your advantage when you are properly seated. Power is released from a seating position. When you are seated with Christ, your environment no longer defines your outcome; your position with Him does. That is why Scripture declares that you will rule in the midst of your enemies. Not after they are gone. In the midst of them.

David proclaimed in Psalms 23:5, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Your enemies become spectators of your victory. They watch you eat, increase, and advance. They are powerless to stop you because you carry the anointing of God. The Lord Himself places a boundary around your destiny and declares in Psalms 105:14-15, “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” When you learn to sit with the Lord, the enemy becomes your proof, your platform, and your promotion. Learn from Jesus, who typically spent the early hours of the day in prayer (Mark 1:35) and observe how you can take advantage of your enemy, no matter how strong they are.

Prophetic Word: I declare that every opposition assigned to delay you shall become the stage upon which God displays His power in your life. Your enemies shall witness your elevation, your peace, your overflow, and your dominion. You will not struggle for victory; you will demonstrate it. In Jesus’ mighty name.

Prayer: Father, I thank You that through Christ I am seated in heavenly places. Today I receive fresh strength, divine wisdom, and supernatural boldness. I decree that every enemy becomes a testimony of Your power in my life. Let Your anointing distinguish me, protect me, and elevate me. I rule in the midst of opposition, and I walk in victory, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Where are you seated?

“The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.” Psalm 110:1-3 KJV

I welcome you to the year 2026. As a Ministry, this is our year of the power of God. Where you are seated will determine what you experience. Mary understood this mystery when she sat at the Lord’s feet and chose the one thing that could never be taken from her (Luke 10:39, 42). You cannot sit in the seat of the scornful and expect to walk in the power of God (Psalm 1:1). When you delight in the Word of God, you generate the wisdom and spiritual authority your destiny requires. When you wait on the Lord, you exchange your weakness for supernatural strength (Isaiah 40:31; Genesis 32:28).

Our text is a prophetic declaration concerning Christ. After His resurrection, He was seated at the right hand of God, far above every principality, power, might, and dominion (Ephesians 1:20–21). And the wonder of redemption is this: we are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). When you recognize and occupy this position, you do not beg for victory; you enforce it. From this seat of authority, enemies fall, resistance collapses, and destiny advances.

Prophetic Word: I declare that as you align yourself with your heavenly position in Christ, the power of God will rest upon your life. You shall rule in the midst of opposition, walk in supernatural strength, and see every enemy become your footstool. In Jesus’ mighty name.

Prayer: Father, I thank You because I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. Today, I step fully into my divine position of authority, power, and victory. Let Your strength flow through me, let every opposition bow before me, and let Your power be revealed in every area of my life in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
