Decisions under pressure

““And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.  And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.” Genesis 27:21-22KJV

Avoid making important decisions under pressure. Many have been scammed because they made financial decisions under pressure. When making decisions, adequate information is needed. If you are wrongly informed, “halfly” informed or quarterly informed on a matter, you cannot make a quality decision. You must be fully informed. Now, in case you have conflicting information, you need to either give it time or clarify by getting more information. Do not make any important decisions in a hurry; give them some time. And within time, get more information.

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 (KJV)

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1KJV

Isaac wanted to bless Esau but not Jacob. His wife overheard and set Jacob up to receive the blessing in a deceitful manner. Jacob knew that he was not hairy like his brother, but his mother advised him to put on the skin of the goat that was killed to prepare the venison. He also wore a garment of Esau so that he could smell like him. When Jacob came to Isaac, he recognized that the voice was that of Jacob, so he asked him to come closer. But the hands were already prepared to feel like Esau’s and his body was also prepared to smell like him.  Isaac confessed that the information was conflicting; the voice was Jacob's, but the hands were Esau’s. If he had waited and given it some time, the truth would have unfolded. Esau came in a few minutes after Isaac had been successfully deceived to bless Jacob. Beloved, if it is important, give it some time and, in the process, gather more information. Many have lost precious things because they were in a hurry to make major decisions.

May you be protected against deceivers, manipulators and scammers, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I refuse to be pressurized into making wrong decisions, in Jesus’ name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

Taking hold of time and chances

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11KJV

Don’t leave things to time and chances; rather, take hold of time and chances. If your question is, Pastor, how do I do that? I have an answer for you. Every "time" you get comes with chances or opportunities. If you can discern the time, you can see and seize the opportunity. To discern the time, you need more than your physical eyes; you need either or both your eyes of the spirit and your eyes of the mind. You must sharpen your eyes to take hold of time and chances.

“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.” 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV)

“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:46-47KJV

Bartimaeus had to see in a way first before he could take the chances and secure his physical eyesight. A lot of people don’t know that hearing and seeing are connected. When you hear clearly, you see. This is why, when someone explains to you something you did not know and you now know it, you exclaim, “I see.” For you to take hold of time and chances, you must sharpen your eyes and ears. To do that, you need to build your personal relationship with God and keep on building yourself. Spend time with God consistently and persistently. Put yourself through relevant learning and training.

You will not miss the opportunity that this season has brought to you, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my understanding to discern times and seasons, in Jesus’ name.

How to avoid errors in life and destiny

“Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” Mathew 22:29. (NIV)

It is an error to think that something that God has for your life and destiny is impossible. It is an error to doubt God. It is an error to consciously walk against God. It is an error to engage in things that can destroy you or others. It is an error to think it is over for you when you are still alive. It is an error to look for an alternative solution to your desire that is not godly. It is an error not to trust God totally with your life and destiny. Any of these errors can be avoided if you invest your time in knowing the word of God and His power.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32 (KJV)

“I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” Job 42:5KJV

You must walk in the wisdom and power of God to avoid errors in life and destiny. Your real defense against error in life and destiny is the revelational knowledge of God’s word and a personal experience of the power of God. Head knowledge and shallow knowledge are part of the reasons why many Christians walk in errors. It is an error to live below your God-given destiny and in contravention of the will of God for your life. Ask God to reveal His will to you and pour His Spirit upon you.

May you not live in error, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God teach me your word and let me experience your power in Jesus name., in Jesus’ name.

Pray till daybreak!

“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day….. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Genesis 32:24-28

Pray till daybreak to overcome a hard spiritual obstacle. Praying till daybreak is beyond doing a vigil. It is starting at a time when darkness is full and ending at a time when light is full. If you are starting a business, a ministry, or a career, do vigil regularly, but pray till daybreak at least once a week. You are contending with spirits, and the good news is that you are also a spirit housed in the flesh. Build your spiritual capacity to ascend to the throne of God and exercise authority over principalities, powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. You are a target; please don’t become a victim when you have so much power at your disposal.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:10-12

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26

I feel sorry for Christians who are still snoring every night when they have not taken anything from the inheritance of the saints. You cannot engage the spirit of wisdom and revelation without adequate investment in the prayer of the night. Praying in the night is necessary to build faith and power. And if you engage in praying till daybreak, you will easily decode the darkness in your environment.

Darkness shall not prevail against you in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I exercise authority over scorpions and serpents in my environment and terminate their operations, in Jesus’ name.

Know no man after the flesh!

“Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:16-17

We are in a spirit-invaded world, which means that when we think we are dealing with humans, we are actually dealing with spirits. Spirits are using men and even talking through them. When a person comes into your life, he or she will be for you or against you, depending on the spirit using him or her. Always discern the spirit behind a person so that you can deal with situations that arise as a result of interacting with or relating to them. Now, on a positive note, know how to relate to the anointed men and women that God has sent into your life. Your destiny depends on your response to these people.

“And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.” Hebrews 5:4

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7

Don’t despise a man of God because of his simplicity and humility. Don’t abuse your relationship with a man of God. Don’t talk negatively about a man God has anointed to help you.  Never despise the man God has anointed to help your destiny. Many of the things you struggle with will come to an end if you can identify and properly relate to the man God sent into your life (2 Kings 4:8–10). Humble yourself and accept God’s provision to help you through His sent ones.

May you not despise the man sent to help you in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to know man after the spirit and not after the flesh, in Jesus’ name.

Who are your associates?

“And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the Lord hath blessed me for thy sake.” Genesis 30:27

When you choose your associates, you have chosen a destiny! When choosing your associates in life, choose the people who love God and walk in humility. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Your associates can determine whether God will bless you or not. There are some people that come into your life, and your smallness will be over; your little will become much. That was what happened to Laban when Jacob became his associate; his livestock multiplied. He recognized this and said to Jacob that he knew that God had blessed him for Jacob’s sake.

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20

“Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the Lord hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.” 2 Chronicles 20:37

On the other hand, there are people who come into a progressing thing, and that is the end of the progress. For such people, when they come into something that has been growing, retardation sets in immediately. Such was the influence of Ahaziah on Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat never failed on anything until Ahaziah became his associate. His ships were broken and could not get to their destinations. Beloved, pray the right associates into your life; reject people who hate God and are too proud to be blessed by God, no matter how attractive they are.

May you associate with people that will bring God’s blessings into your life, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I reject evil associates and pray godly associates into my life, in Jesus’ name.

You can recover all!

“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8KJV

Most people in the world have been robbed of one thing or another. The robber is satan and his primary assignment is stealing (John 10:10). He stole the kingdom of this world from Adam and made it his own. He even claimed it was delivered to him (Luke 4:6). What a lie! He stole it! The kingdom of this world belongs to you and me (Psalm 115:16). Some people have been robbed of years and opportunities, while many have been robbed of good marriages and good living. Some have been robbed of their health and wealth. If you are in Christ, you can go after the thief, bind him, and take what belongs to you. You can recover all.

“Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” Matthew 12:29

“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

Satan robbed you and me when we were powerless and ignorant. Thanks to the Lord Jesus, He has given us power and the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. We have what it takes to take back all that satan stole. We can know beyond our intellectual capabilities and take authority over satan and his demons (Luke 10:19). Beloved, this is your time, this is your season, take what belongs to you in Jesus’ name.

You shall recover all, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I break the power of satan on what belongs to me and I recover all, in Jesus’ name.
