“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.” Luke 10:39 KJV
Human nature is quick to act, but divine wisdom teaches us when to sit. Blessed are those who sit at God's feet to receive instruction, strength, and preparation before confronting life's challenges. Those who learn to sit before God are better equipped to stand before life's battles. (Luke 10:39–42; Isaiah 40:31).
One of life's greatest disciplines is to remain patient in prayer, learning, and preparation when everything within you urges immediate action. Sitting is not weakness, and waiting is not wasted time; it is preparation for victorious action. Those who wait upon the Lord renew their strength, while those who act without understanding risk unnecessary struggles (Proverbs 19:2).
Prophetic Word: As you learn to sit at God's feet, may
divine instructions replace confusion, wisdom overcome haste, and preparation
lead you into undeniable victories, in Jesus' name.
Prayer: Father, deliver me from the pressure of premature
action. Give me the patience to learn, the discipline to wait, and the wisdom
to act at Your appointed time. May I never run ahead of Your instructions, in
Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
