Christian giving 1

“ And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.”  John 2:17

Do you need a motivation to make the house of your father look good when it is within your capacity to do something? Christianity is a family affair. You become part of the family of God when you become a Christian. You are part of the body, the church. The church is not the building, the church is you, if you are a Christian.

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Colossians 1:18
“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.” 1 Corinthians 12:12-14

The church is a living being both spiritually and physically. Anything living on earth needs money. The church goals of evangelizing the world and meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of people cannot be achieved without money. Never act as a visitor in your father’s house. When you get into a service and everything is in order, it is because someone did something. Be involved in your father’s house. It is satisfying and exciting to be able to make a difference wherever you can.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me zeal for your house in Jesus name.

Stop weeping, start acting

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.?" Psalms 30:5

Weeping cannot last if you can start acting on the word of God, seeking more information, acting on the information you have for the solution to the cause of your weeping. When Anna turned to God, God gave her a comforting information and that was the end of our weeping. When David turned to God, He told him what to do and his weeping including that of his soldiers came to an end. Weeping does not solve any problem, but praying will do, finding out what you should do to handle the reason behind the weeping will do.

“Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep…… And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all:” 2 Samuel 30:5-8
“Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.” 1 Samuel 1:17-18

Your weeping is over. Your celebrations begin today in Jesus name.

Fruitful living 4

" And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?" 2 kings 5:13

What are you doing with the information at your disposal? Fruitful living is the result of positive response to quality information, be it spiritual or physical.  Naaman the leper was told to go and wash in Jordan, he was angry. He had suggestions of the river where he should wash and he was also angry that the Prophet did not come out to see him. He was a successful soldier, but he was behaving as a fool with regards to his sound health.  He was fortunate to have wise servants around him who told him to do what the Prophet had instructed. Be humble enough to listen to people who know what you don’t know. Be humble enough to listen to people who have the information you need. Be aggressive enough to use the information you have if you want to live a fruitful life.

“A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:” Proverbs 1:5

Beloved, we are in an information driven world. What you don’t know can kill you. Most problems in this world are sustained by ignorance or foolishness. Ignorance is when you don’t know. Foolishness is when you know and you don’t do what you know.

May your life be fruitful. May you be filled with the wisdom and the power of God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God let my life be fruitful and profitable in Jesus name.

Fruitful living 3

"Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place." 1 Samuel 3:9

The answer to your fruitful life is in the hand of a man. God’s dealing with a man is through man. Yes, there is a man who knows what you don’t know but need to know. When God connects you to such a man, you must not miss him. You must listen to him, hear him and do what he tells you for you to experience a fruitful life. Sometimes, the man may appear as a book or as an audio or video.

“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” John 2:5
“And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.” Acts 9:17
“And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?  And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks. And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.” Genesis 37:15-17

Don’t be surprised, one of the ways God will answer you is to send you the right person. Finding and connecting to the right mentor is your key to a fruitful life. May you find the person. May you discern him or her. May your life never remain the same in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God if I am wrongly connected, reconnect me in Jesus name.

Fruitful living 2

" If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:" Isaiah 1:19

Your willingness must drive you to obedience if you desire a fruitful living. The question is obedience to what? The first is obedience to God and His words. The second is obedience to your mentor whether direct or proxy. The third is your response to the information available to you. I will talk about obedience to God today.

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:” Deuteronomy 28:1
“And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:11
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Some Christians are only interested in God’s promises and not God’s instructions. The truth is that if you respond positively to God’s instructions devil will not have room in your life and your life will be fruitful. You are not under any curse as a Christian but if you continually disobey God, devil will not allow the blessing to rest on you.  The scripture advise us not to give room to the devil so that he will not get an advantage over us (Ephesians 4:27; 2 Cor 2:11). When you yield to God’s instructions, He will continually guide you and your life will be fruitful.

May you walk in obedience to God’s instruction for your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me the grace to obey you at all times Jesus name.

Fruitful living 1

" If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:" Isaiah 1:19

Your will matters. You must be willing to live a fruitful life if you want to experience a fruitful life. The adage that if there is a will there will be a way is biblical. You must first be willing for this world to yield fruits for you. You must first be willing in order to receive help from God and man to make a fruitful living happens.

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15
“…….and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” Genesis 11:6b

To will is to desire something and to act on that desire. What you don’t desire you don’t actually deserve. I don’t care what it looks like around you right now but I care to tell you that you can live a fruitful life despite all odds. You can achieve your goals if you are willing to do so. Willingness is not enough but it a prerequisite.

May your life be fruitful and profitable in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I will oh God for a fruitful and fulfilling life, help me in Jesus name.

Smart living

"Since a dull axe requires great strength, sharpen the blade. That's the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed." Ecc. 10:10 (New Living)

Wisdom will make a difference at all times. Imagine two persons assigned to two portions of land of the same size to clear. Both are given dull cutlasses to use. One of them thinks he has all the strength and starts working with the dull instrument while the other takes sometime out to go and sharpen the cutlass. I tell you the one with the sharpened instrument will come back, finish his work without struggle and leave the unwise colleague sweating it out.

The level of sweetness you experience on earth will be determined by the wisdom you carry. There is nothing you are going through which someone, somewhere has not gone through and overcome. That is why it is wise to give yourself to reading, particularly bible and books written by anointed men of God.

The time you take to develop yourself on the issues related to life and your chosen career is not wasted. The acquired wisdom will enable you to live and work smartly, bringing success without tears. It does not matter how people have described you or how it has been with you, get wisdom and success will come. If you have questions about life, get scriptures and books related to that area and prayerfully read and meditate on them. You will get revelation wisdom.

You will not be stranded in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God baptise me with the spirit of wisdom in Jesus name.
