Self esteem

“Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.” Joshua 1:6
" And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.” Judges 6:12

How do you see yourself? You need to have a correct perspective of yourself in order to execute your God’s given assignments. God sees you as His image. If God cannot fail, you cannot fail. If God cannot be defeated, you cannot be defeated. If all things are possible with God, all things are possible with you. Never doubt your God’s given ability and grace.

Your past does not matter; God has a glorious future for you. I discovered from the scriptures that God always made sure that the man He wanted to use had the right perspective of himself. He told Joshua to be strong and courageous. He told a timid Gideon that he was a man of valour. Your situation does not determine who you are and what you can do. You have what it takes to turn the situation around inside you. God sees you as a co-creator with him, a winner, and a success. Do not see yourself less than the way God sees you.

I see you becoming what God wants you to be in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God help me to see myself the way you see me in Jesus name.

Still on prayer….

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:14-15
Pray from the answer and pray with confidence.
Once you have established your request through His word, you have aligned your request with His will. This is what I called praying from the answer. Your answer is guaranteed because God cannot deny His words. The fact that you are praying according to His will gives you confidence. And your confidence cannot go without reward. Hebrews 11:35 say, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.”
I have seen it over and over again that praying with confidence becomes easy when you are convinced that it is what God wants. Also when you spend time in personal fellowship with Him you will not only develop confidence but you will be sensitive to His will. Lastly, you can always find your answer first in the bible and then build confidence to pray through.
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John15:7.
Let me quickly says this: never doubt the will of God to heal you, to bless you and to answer your prayer if you belong to Him.
I see God showing Himself mighty on your behalf in every situation in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Father I declare I have confidence to come before your throne of mercy and obtain help at all times in Jesus name.

Pray until what you expect happens

“And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.  So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.” 1 Kings 18:41-44
The weapon of prayer cannot fail unless you stop praying before your breakthrough. Once you start praying, your breakthrough begins. You must persist in prayer to see your desired result.
Elijah was used as an example of a man whose prayer was effectual and fervent in the new testament (James 5). But he did not get answers to some of his prayers immediately. In our text today, after Elijah declared to Ahab that rain was coming, he had to pray seven times before the rain came. Jesus even in Luke 18 gave a parable to inform us to persist in prayer until our answers come.
Beloved, hear the word of the Lord, your answer is coming, pray until you receive it.
Prayer for today: I receive grace not to give up in prayer, I receive grace to obtain my requests in prayer in Jesus name.

Choose to pray

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.” Philippians 4:6.(AMP)
Choose to pray and not to worry. Worry is like a rocking chair; it keeps you busy but takes you nowhere. Worry is energy consuming but achieving zero result. Worry is easy but yet destructive. Prayer is not easy but always brings results. Worry about nothing, pray about everything. Worry is acceptance of defeat; prayer is acceptance of victory.
If no one is willing to listen to you, there is a God who will not only listen but will help you through the situation. If everyone has giving up on you, there is a God who is willing to give you as many chances as you need. If people have written you off, there is a God who believes in you.
“Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened.” Mathew 7:7-8 (AMP)
God asked me to tell you, stop worrying, start praying.
Prayer for today: O God help me to pray and not to worry; intervene in the situations that are giving me burdens in Jesus name.

When the church prays

“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Acts 12:5
The only thing the church will not achieve, attain, obtain or possess is the thing she is not willing to constantly pray for. When the church prays, wickedness is broken, contrary authority is subdued, righteousness prevails. The prayer of the church is stronger than the authority of human kings no matter how powerful they are.
In our text today, the church prayed without ceasing for the release of Peter. Note that the chapter opened with the arrest of Judah who Herod killed because the church did nothing about it. And when Herod found that the enemies were pleased, he proceeded to arrest Peter also so that he could kill him. The church suddenly woke up and prayed. Despite the fact that Peter was kept in a way that humanly speaking it was impossible for him to come out. God rescued him. He was surprised so also was the praying church.
The good news is that it takes only two to make the church. Mathew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” If at least two can gather and pray without ceasing, destiny of nations can be changed, deliverance can be obtained.
May God raise a praying church in every nation of the world in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: O God arise and put passion for constant and fervent prayer in your church in Jesus name.

Be full of these things

“If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.” Ecclesiastes 11:3
In the school of destiny, your results are consequent of your actions. When you are full of certain actions, destiny fulfilment is guaranteed. I want to share four of them. Our text says, when the clouds be full of rain, then the earth would be blessed with water.
1.         Be prayerful. Pray at all times, for little things and for big things; for little worries and for big worries. Prayer can be done at all times, anywhere and everywhere. It becomes easy if you can speak in tongues. When the result of prayers comes, you will not be able to handle them. It will usher you into miracles, glory and breakthrough that you cannot explain. Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing.”
2.         Be praiseful.  Learn to praise God for who He is at all times. God has many attributes for which you can praise Him. When you are full of His praise you will be full of His presence. Acts 16:25-26 says, “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.”
3.         Be thankful. Thank God for small things and for big things. Thank God for everything. If you are thankful you position yourself for more of His blessings. Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”
4.         Be seedful. If you are seed full, you will be harvest full. Seedtime is painful but harvest time is joyful. Psalms 126:6 says, “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
I see your life full of God’s glory and power in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: I receive grace to do what I need to do to fulfill destiny in Jesus name.

Under attacks? 3

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17
The greatest attack any man will go through on earth is the attack of the tongue. Tongue carries the power of life and death. Many have been wounded and subsequently killed when the tongue was used against them by the enemy. Many have been made alive when those that are for them have used tongues for them. Tongues are used for enchantment, divination, curses, manipulations and conspiracies. Tongues are also used for blessing and for positive anointed words. In the realm of the spirit, everything is a living thing; all things talk and hear. So when you are under attack, you must know how to use your tongue to frustrate the tongue of the enemy and to appropriate the force of life on yourself.
Consider the following scriptures:
“And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.” 1 samuel 17:43
“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defiled. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” 1 Samuel 17:45-46
“And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Lord, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.” 2 Samuel 15:31
“And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away.” Mark 11:21
Every weapon that the enemy is using against you, I curse them to die in Jesus name. Receive victory over ever attack in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: I condemn every tongue that is against me in the name of Jesus.
