Humble yourself before God

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
“So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel?” 1 Samuel 15:17
Why would God choose a man and reject another? Humility!
I don’t know how desperate you are for God but if you want the fullness of God in your life, you must be humble and stay humble before Him. James 4:6 says, “But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." This scriptural verse is repeated in 1Peter 5:5 and Proverbs 3:34. What does it mean to be humble? It means to simply stay little in one’s eyes before God. No matter what you become stay little in your eyes before God. No man can receive anything except given by God. Recognize God as your source and the reason behind the good things in your life. If you do, you will continually increase. Note that humility does not mean to allow yourself to be trodden by people. It is to stay in the will of God come what may. Saul lost it because he considered the voice of people and his situation higher than God. He decided to do things in his own way.
The reason why God made Saul the first king of Israel was because he was humble. God specializes in exalting those who humble themselves before Him. Philippians 2: 7-9 says,
“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:”
God is looking for people who will be His servants. People who will stay in obedience to Him no matter what the people and the world are saying. Will you be one of such people?
When God was looking for Saul’s replacement, Samuel was sent to the house of Jesse. The great Samuel was almost carried away by the look of Eliab. His physical appearance was convincing that the great Seer, Samuel, thought he must be anointed as king. But God rejected him, he was proud at heart. Unfortunately, you cannot easily notice pride in the life of a man. A man can be poor and still be proud while a man can be rich and be very humble before God. It is a matter of the heart not a matter of the look. However, humility is what positions a man to receive God’s grace. A relatively unknown David was found to be qualified, he got the anointing in the midst of his proud brethren.
Beloved, I have been asked to tell you that if you want the fullness of God’s grace in your life, stay humble.
You are blessed.

How to enjoy God’s honor

“Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me forever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.” 1 Samuel 2:30
“And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Exodus 33:19
There are two kinds of people on earth. One kind of people are those who are enjoying God’s mercy, the other kind of people are enjoying God’s honor. Everyone who is enjoying God’s honor automatically enjoys God’s mercy. People who enjoy God’s honor are greater than people who enjoy His mercy. You cannot be honored by God and not enjoy His mercy, but you can enjoy God’s mercy without being honored by Him. To enjoy God’s mercy has nothing to do with what you did or did not do, it is God’s absolute prerogative. He said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. A lot of people take God’s mercy for granted, they miss God’s honor because they are enjoying His mercy. This is because to enjoy God’s honor, there is a prerequisite.
The prerequisite is that you must honor God if you want Him to honor you. The story of God’s relationship with Eli’s family sheds light on what it means to honor God. To honor God means to obey Him. It means to honor His word. If you are consistently living in disobedience, you are at the risk of getting to the realm where the season of mercy expires. To obey is better than sacrifice. Some people deliberately walk in disobedience and they think they can bribe God. It is time you make up your mind to live according to God’s word so that He can honor you. God has exalted His word more than His name. Honor God’s word so that He can honor you.
Honor God by giving to God your first fruit. Proverbs 3:9 says, “Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase” God expects you to honor Him with your possessions and also with the first fruits of your increase. This means to honor God you must give to Him, and also give to Him first. If you catch this revelation, you will always experience honor from God. A lot of people attend church without a financial commitment to the church. Such people risk being dishonored by God.
Honor God by hating what God hates and loving what God loves. Hebrews 1: 9 says, “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore, God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” A lot of people will go to hell from the church because they consciously and consistently live in sin. They take God for granted since they do not receive God’s judgement because of His mercy. Ecclestiastes 8:11 says, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” Beloved, God hates sin but loves righteousness. He honors also those who do so.
Honor God by honoring His servants. John 13:20 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receives whomsoever I send receives me; and he that receives me receives him that sent me.” If you want God to honor you, cultivate the habits of honoring His servants. Don’t take your Pastor for granted even if He is simple. He is the channel through whom God will honor you, if you honor him.
I ask God to honor you in Jesus name.

Your head and your garment

Your head and your garment
“Let your garments be always white, and don’t let your head lack oil” Ecclesiastes 9:8

Most times what makes the difference in our lives is the personality that is in charge of our lives. You need to attract God and repel the devil. God is good but the devil is wicked.  The assignment of the devil is to steal, kill and destroy but when the hand of God is with you, He will keep you from any evil that the devil tries to throw at you. The bible says concerning Joseph that the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him. The result was that God turned everything around for good for him, There are two significant things in the life of a believer in order to enjoy God at all times, these are white garments (purity and holiness) and anointed head (power).

If your garment is dirty, the devil will not leave you alone. Zechariah 3:1,3 says, “Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him……..Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.” If a man’s garment is dirty, Satan will oppose him even in the presence of the Angel of blessing. Joshua was an high priest, yet he was opposed by Satan because his garment was dirty. Don’t be deceived by Pastors who tell you that you can live anyhow. It is a lie that you can keep your sin and God at the same time. You must choose to either enjoy your sin or enjoy God. Joseph chose to enjoy God and rejected immoral sexual advances from Potiphar’s wife. Although he went to jail, he came out to rule over Potiphar and the entire land of Egypt.

The second important thing is that your head must not be dried, you must be anointed, you must carry power. We are in a wicked world, you need a white garment and anointed head to win as a Christian. Jesus did all He did on earth because He was anointed, none of us can win without the anointing. Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” The presence of God with you is the anointing of God on your head and is also the power of God in your life. The best way to get anointed is to spend time with God. If you are anointed, you cannot be defeated unless your garment is dirty.

I decree that you will experience victory in all battles of life in Jesus name. Please let your garment be white and your head be anointed.

The God of Christians

“Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the Lord looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians. And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.” Exodus 14:24-25
The God of the Christians is known to be powerful enough to uproot any power, weapon, institution that goes against His people. The Egyptians in our text were experienced in war, had weapons and capable fighters but when they went against the seemingly weak Israel, the God of Christians caused them to be defeated before Israel. Similar stories abound in the scriptures: David Killed Goliath 1 Samuel 17; Hezekiah defeated Sennarcherib and his 185,000 soldiers 2Kings 19; and Jehoshaphat defeated three great nations that came against him 2 Chronicles 20. When Saul was using the weapon of the state to persecute Christians, the God of the Christians arrested him on the road to Damascus Acts 9. I remember several years ago when I used to assist a Pastor in a “small” church in Ibadan, Nigeria. People of strange religions who were landlords in the area wanted to persecute and uproot the church. They employed the weapons of witchcraft, physical attacks and landlords power to go against our “small” church. We reported them to the God of the Christians and they were subdued before us; the church is standing today. The only time the Christians can suffer in the hand of the enemy is if the Christians themselves are against their God or refuse to cry unto Him for help.
Now when we voted for them, we did not consider their religion, but now they want to use the weapon of the state that we gave to them to persecute us and impose strange religion on our lands. Many Christians have already been displaced and churches burnt and destroyed.  Beloved, it is time we call upon our God to fight for us. If we keep quiet, Nigeria will go back to Egypt. We don’t need to carry physical weapons but we need to activate our spiritual weapons. All physical evidence are subject to spiritual authority which we carry.  2 Corinthians 10: 3-5.
All I am asking you to do is to raise a prayer altar in your homes and your churches against the power persecuting Christians in Nigeria. Take the following prayer points:
That the God of Christians should pass through Nigeria and uproot all personalities, associations, establishments and authorities that want to impose strange religion on Nigeria.
That every wisdom, understanding, and counsel against Christians in Nigeria should be frustrated. Proverbs 21:30
That our God should arise and His enemies in Nigeria be scattered.
That God should visit Nigeria with a new revival of His power and glory.
That all Christians that are presently suffering as a result of physical attacks should be comforted by His miracle power.
ALL IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME.

You are blessed.

Four Foods for Destiny fulfilment

“But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Mathew 4:4

Power to live and fulfill destiny is in your “intake.” We all know that a man can die or have kwashiorkor if he does not eat balanced diet. Man is a triune being (1 Thessalonians 5:23), he is a spirit, having a soul and living in a body; and each of these forms of man must be well fed for you to fulfill your destiny

Nutrition: This is the food of the body. Eat well, if you don’t take care of your body, the spirit will leave. However don’t be carried away by food, a lot of people are heavy weight physically but feather weight spiritually and in their mind. Such people turn to be mediocre and failures in life. Man shall not live by bread alone.

Information: Information is the food of the mind, if you are not informed, you will surely be deformed. Ignorance is expensive and deadly. Be informed. When you don’t know, you will be wearied despite your physical strength. Ecclesiastes 10:15

Revelation: Revelation is the food of the spirit. To have revelation is to have power to take. To have revelation is to be empowered to dominate. Revelation is having access to the secret of God Job 29:4. That was what made Job, Daniel, Joseph to excel in life; that is what Jesus said the church needs to beat hell hands down (Mathew 16:17-19). You will surely need it to fulfill destiny.

Impartation: Things that make life to work are not tangible but feasible. They are blessing, wisdom, favour, grace and anointing. Each of these can be imparted. If you lack any of these, life will be stressful and destiny fulfillment will be hard. Spend time with God, attend church fellowship where God is, and connect to men of grace, wisdom and power. 1 Samuel 16:13

Beloved, you are more than this; go for these four things to make news on earth. God bless you.

From zero to hero

The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free. He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed” Psalm 105:20-21

Your story can and will change if you know what to do. May be you are struggling at zero level  or you can’t even explain your level, I have good news for you: God specializes in making somebody out of nobody, He did it for Joseph in Psalm 105:20-21, He will do it for you.  Let me share with you four things you should do if you want God to make you an hero out of the zero situation you have found or put yourself now:

Seek God, “But as for me, I would seek God, And to God I would commit my cause—Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number. He gives rain on the earth, And sends waters on the fields. He sets on high those who are lowly, And those who mourn are lifted to safety.”  God will use man for you but stop looking for men, look for God with the whole of your heart Jeremiah 29:13. If you are really serious about changing your level, you must find God first Mathew 6:33. He is the only one who does marvelous things, who  sets on high those who are lowly. He is the one who can command anyone to help you 1Kings 17:9. I suggest you spend at least three hours daily with God,  praising God, reading the bible and praying. I have listed seven prayer points to change your level at the end of this article.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it well
. Don’t do crime even if you have to go hungry. Don’t say any work is too small or demeaning. Joseph was first the Midianites slave, then Potiphar servant, and then a prisoner before he became prime minister. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead
where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.” Ecclesiastes 9:10
Develop yourself. There is no future for anyone who does not have a skill. Go and learn a skill, a job or a business. Better still go to school. In your most lowly time, don’t forget you need to be prepared so as to use the opportunity that comes your way. Somebody says success is when preparation meets opportunity. Woe is that man who is not ready when opportunity comes. “Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.” 1 Samuel 16:18
Go after your heart desire. If you need a job, apply; if you need a contract, find out how to go about it and go for it. Don’t sit down watching TV, jesting or backbiting around. What you don’t pursue you don’t deserve. “And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying” mark 2:4. Break through into the fulfillment of your dream in Jesus name.
Beloved, you are not permitted to remain on this level, it is time for the Lion in you to roar. It is time for the hero in you to manifest. Take these steps and see things working for you

Don’t allow these “Nos” to stop your dreams

“When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes……. Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.” Genesis 21:15-19

Common Nos that stop people’s dreams are No way, No money, No helper. These cannot stop your dreams if you are desperate enough to fulfill them. Any time any of these Nos shows up, it is an indication that you need to find out something. If it seems there is no way, find out where the way is. If it seems there is no money, find where the money is. If it seems there is no helper, find out where the helpers are.

Hagar and her son Ismael were going to end it because there was no water until God opened her eyes and she discovered that there was water where they were. Beloved, there is provision for all the “Nos” that are threatening your dreams. Don’t pack your dreams. Keep on discovering answers to your challenges and keep moving on. You will get there.

Consider these scriptures:

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

“My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:2

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:13

Have a great day
