This is your time!

“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:2.

Darkness provides light the opportunity to shine. The world is in gross darkness and so provides opportunity for the carrier of light to shine. The wisdom of this world cannot handle the trouble that is in this present perverse world. The world and its wisdom succeeded in providing technological advancement but have not been able to provide solution for diseases, poverty and sin that is eating the world away. So the world is earnestly seeking for your manifestation because you carry the light and therefore you are the solution to her problems. It is your time, it is time for you to activate the light in you and let it shine. Spend time with God, ask Him for His specific word for you on your assignment, ask for access into His secrets and act on His instructions.

What to do when you are down!

“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:18

Beloved, I don’t care to know what you are going through but I care to announce to you that Jesus will come to you and comfort you. So when you are down do these two things:
1.      Encourage yourself in the Lord: The devil cannot steal your strength if he has not succeeded in stealing your joy. When David and his men were down in 1Samuel 30, nothing changed when they cried till they had no strength in them. But their miracle started when David encouraged himself in the Lord.
2.      Seek the face of the Lord: God knows the answer and He has assured us that we will find him if we seek him with the whole of our hearts. David enquired of the Lord and got the answer. You don’t have to be seeking men, all you have to do is to seek God and He will answer you. He said, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”

I decree you are lifted in Jesus name.

The Secret of True Champions

“Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.” Daniel 6:5

The secret of true champions is that they are committed to the law of their God in all situations.

The enemies of Daniel found him faultless! They decided to plot against him by influencing the King to promulgate a decree that no man should pray to any other god except the king, otherwise the person would be thrown into the Lions’ den. They invoked a death threat against Daniel to prevent him from exercising his secret. Daniel refused, he kept praying. As a result he maintained his championship: he went to Lions’ den and came back alive but his enemies and their families were swallowed up. Joseph story is similar. He told Potiphar’s wife, “how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Although he went to prison but the prison was closer to the throne than Potiphar’s house. He became Egypt Prime Minister two years later.

David said, “A true champion’s delight is in the law of his God” Psalm 1:2 paraphrased. Beloved I don’t care how wealthy you are or what position you hold in the church, if you are not committed to the Law of God, you are not a true champion!! But the good news is that you can begin again. God can give you a new beginning and you can walk in his ways and laws. You can repent and ask God to help you.

I ask the light of God to shine on your path in Jesus name.

Give thanks

Give thanks
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Beloved, when last did you spend concrete time thanking God? It is time to do it! And if you have been doing it, it is time to give more time for thanksgiving. Did you say, “Pastor I am still believing God for some things”? Yes, you need to give thanks to God for what He has done and for what He will yet do. The fact that you are reading this article is an indication that God is good to you.

Devil is on rampage using people to destroy themselves and others but God has kept you from evil. In Luke 13:1,2, and 4, the Bible says, “There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?....... Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?”

You and I are enjoying God’s mercy every day and what can we do but to thank him. Apart from this thanksgiving give you access into God’s gate. Psalm 100:4.

Beloved, let your thanksgiving be more than your request.

How to beat your adversary!

“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. “Luke 21:15

You need two weapons to beat your adversary, a mouth and wisdom. You can get both from God.

If you keep quiet in the presence of your adversary, you are in trouble. But when you speak, you must speak right. David defeated Goliath first by speaking against him 1Samuel 17:45-47; Moses spoke against the enemy first at the red sea. Secondly, you need to know what action to take and do it to beat your adversary; that is wisdom. David needed just the sling and the stone. Moses needed just the rod. Both of them acted the wisdom of God and got the adversary beaten.

Are you being confronted by an adversary, ask God for a mouth and wisdom to beat him.

At the edge of breakthrough?(2)

“And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” Acts 10:4

You can cross every barrier and enforce your breakthrough. The bible revealed what to do to enforce your breakthrough: these are fasting, passionate prayer and dangerous giving.

Cornelius enforced his breakthrough through prayer and giving according to our text. Esther enforced her breakthrough when she and the Jews fasted; she got favour with the king. The widow of Zarephath got her breakthrough through dangerous giving; she and her household survived the famine. Jesus told us in Mathew 6 about combining giving, fasting and praying to get our breakthroughs.

The secret of effective use of these weapons is focus. Determine first your prayer request; it is better if it can be expressed in a single prayer request. Pray that single prayer points throughout your period of fasting and be passionate about it; then go and sow sacrificial seed towards the breakthrough.

I decree your breakthrough in Jesus name.

At the edge of breakthrough?(1)

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Exodus 14:15-16

Are you at the edge of a breakthrough and there seem to be a difficult barrier to cross? Cry unto God and ask Him what you should do. Barriers always come down, when you act on simple instructions from God.

Moses and the children were at the red sea after the ten manifestations of God in Egypt to secure their deliverance. They were at the edge of their final breakthrough into the promised land. The red sea looked like a barrier impossible to cross but Moses cried unto God. God told him to take a simple and unbelievable step: stretch the rod over the sea and divide it. If Moses knew it was going to be that simple he would not have cried unto God. Beloved, there is a simple step to take and that barrier will come down, ask God! You remember the groom at the marriage of Cana of Galilee got his breakthrough when his people filled the pots with water while Peter got his own breakthrough by launching into the deep even in the day light.

Receive an instruction from the Lord that will ensure your breakthrough in Jesus name.
